In Memory of Alfred Hauser
Alfred Gottlieb Hauser, 94, of Almena died Friday, July 30, 2021 at his home.
He was born June 29, 1927 in Almena to Ferdinand and Albertina (Koser) Hauser.
He attended Maple Grove School until 8th grade. He was married in Comstock on November 2, 1953 to Jean Leona Colburn. Alfred farmed in the Almena area for over 50 years. Alfred accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior in his 30's and that decision impacted the rest of his life and that of his family. His life was a a testament to the power of hard work, love and faith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean; children: Sharon (Tom) Olson of Farmington, MN, Steve (Debbie) Hauser of Barron, Mary Strenke of Eau Claire, Debbie (Mike) Houser of Sarona, Janice Degerman of Almena, David (Amy) Hauser of Hudson; 21 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren: 1 great-great-granddaughter; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Alfred was preceded in death by his son, Mark; 7 sisters and 2 brothers.
A Christian funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Hosanna Lutheran Church at 662 20th Ave. Cumberland with Pastor Tom Olson officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. Pallbearers are grandchildren - Stephen Hauser, Matthew Degerman, Joe Seeman, Matt Offerdahl, Nick Fisk and Shawn Chaplin. Visitation will be from 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
