In Memory of Albert 'Bud' Rieschl


November 11, 1925 - August 30, 2023

Albert “Bud” Rieschl Age 97, of Rice Lake, WI, died Wednesday, August 30, 2023 peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

He was born on November 11, 1925 to Albert and Peggy Rieschl.

Bud served in the US Navy and is a WWII Veteran. After the Navy he worked various jobs until he started working for Hartzell Manufacturing (Wright Products). Bud retired after 37 years. Bud was married to Jean Sybrant and had 3 wonderful children, Butch, Tom and Christine. After moving to Rice Lake he married Shirley Lokker Schreiber and they celebrated 51 years together this year.

Bud is survived by wife, Shirley and her children, Linda (Brian) Mullin, Steve (Vickie) Schreiber; his children, Butch (Trish) Rieschl and Tom (Gloria) Rieschl; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; a sister, Jane (Jack) Whiteford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Peggy Rieschl; a sister, Darlene (Jim) Sutton; father -in-law and mother-in-law, Carl (Beatrice) Lokker; daughter, Christine; a great granddaughter, Callie Grace Erickson.

Funeral Service will be held at 11AM Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Long Lake Lutheran Church in Long Lake, WI, Rev. Rodger Prois officiating, with Full Military Rites accorded him by the Rice Lake Veterans Honor Guard in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is serving the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Long Lake Lutheran Church or St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.
