Alan Korthof, age 93, of Springbrook, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2022, at Meadowbrook in Chetek, WI.

He was born on July 27, 1928, in Stone Lake, WI, the son of Gerrit and Bertha (Hesseling) Korthof.

He attended the Mackey Valley School in Springbrook.  Alan proudly served his country with the United States Army in Alaska. He was a charter and lifelong member of the Springbrook VFW. He was a rodman and journeyman with the Ironworker’s Local 512 of Minnesota and North Dakota. Alan enjoyed working on his tractor, gardening, and spending time with his family. He loved traveling and spent many trips with family out west visiting national parks.

He is survived by his son, Zane Korthof of Springbrook; his grandchildren, Whitney Korthof of Springbrook, Briana Korthof of Spooner, and Jeremiah Korthof of Seaside, OR; and his great-granddaughter, Monroe.

In addition to his parents, Alan is preceded in death by his sisters, Linda, Norma, and Nellie; and his brothers, Jack, Donald, Stanley, Gerrit, Jimmy, and Robert.

A celebration of life will be held starting at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Springbrook VFW.
