In Memory of Adeline L. LeJeune


September 10, 1930 - July 29, 2023

Adeline Leona (Willger) LeJeune, age 92, of Rice Lake WI died Saturday, July 29, 2023 in Rice Lake.

She was born on September 10,1930 to Casper and Agnes (Lexa) Willger in Rice Lake.

She was married to Kenneth LeJeune on September 27, 1948 in Haugen, WI, where they farmed for 8 years, before moving to the Section 10 area in Cumberland where they purchased a farm. After the milking was done in the evening, Adeline would join in the baseball game with her children. She also liked to play badminton and was quite good at it. In 1972 they sold the farm and purchased a small farm. Adeline worked at Cumberland City Bakery for 20+ years. She loved to garden, and gave her produce to anyone who needed it. Adeline and Kenneth loved to go to dances where they danced the polka, waltzes and two step. They met a lot of people who enjoyed to dance as much as they did. In 2009 Kenneth and Adeline moved to Rice Lake. They were avid customers of Hardees every morning and made great friends there.

Adeline is survived by her 4 children, son Michael (Karen) LeJeune; daughters Carolyn (Myron) Anderson, Dorothy (Chuck) Dorey and Vicki (Wally) Anderson; 5 grandchildren, Peter LeJeune, Kelly (Dan) Mawer, Daryl (Danelle) Anderson, Eric (Katie) Roux and Diana (Charlie) Rohlik; 11 great grandchildren, Zoe, Sam, Eleanor, Camille, Apollo, Armani, Asher, Brennan, Mckenna, Nolan and Amelia; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Ruth Willger; sister-in-law, Wilma Willger; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Kenneth LeJeune on July 18, 2023; her parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Lowell Coddington; a brother, Rudolph Willger.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11AM Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dobie, WI, Father Joseph Kumar officiating, with interment in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Spooner, WI. Visitation will be held from 930-11AM Thursday, August 10 at the church.

Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI is assisting the family with the arrangements. The family would like to thank the staff of Brentwood Assisted Living and St. Croix Hospice for their kindness and compassion shown. We are forever grateful.
