BURNETT COUNTY (DrydenWire) - An investigation by the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office into a series of break-ins, burglaries, and thefts that occurred in 2023 resulted in criminal charges for three individuals: James J. Pijanowski, Jr. (age 29, of Danbury, WI), Christine M. Stoll (age 31, of Webster, WI), and Milo C. Merrill, Jr. (age 40).

Numerous criminal complaints were filed in Burnett County Circuit Court against the three individuals. The charges against Merrill were previously dismissed upon a motion from the Burnett County District Attorney.

The charges against Pijanowski are still pending, with a future court hearing in December 2024.

Stoll appeared most recently on September 5, 2024, and was sentenced on convictions from her charges.
