Quinn, a Republican, announced his candidacy for the 25th Senate District in October 2021. In February 2022, the current Senator in the 25th, Janet Bewley (D), announced that she was not seeking reelection.
The 25th Senate District is made up of 3 Assembly Districts; the 73rd, 74th, and 75th.
- The 75th is currently represented by Dave Armstrong (R) and is he is expected to be running for another term.
- In the 74th, current Rep. Beth Meyers (D) announced in January that she was not going to be seeking reelection
- (Republican candidate Chanz Green announced his candidacy for the 74th earlier this month).
- Lastly, 73rd District Rep. Nick Milroy (D) also announced that he will not be seeking reelection.
This means, with the exception of Rep. Dave Armstrong in the 75th, 2 of the 3 Assembly Districts will have new Representatives and the 25th Senate District will as well.
A Democratic Candidate, Kelly Westlund, has announced her campaign for the 25th Senate District Race.
