About Josh Schoemann
Josh Schoemann has served as Washington County Executive since April 2020 and was re-elected to a second term in April 2024. He also leads the Wisconsin County Executives & Administrators Association as President. Schoemann’s career spans over six years as a County Administrator and Administrative Coordinator.
A veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Schoemann received an Army Commendation Medal during his service with the Army National Guard, which ended in 2008 with an honorable discharge. Active in his community, he serves on the Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington County Board of Directors, is a member of VFW Post 10452, and participates in Peace Lutheran Church in Hartford. Schoemann resides in the Town of Trenton with his wife Jodi, their sons Cael and Drake, and their dog Liberty.
