On April 1, 2019, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is scheduled to begin an improvement project on US 63 from WIS 77 to Larsen Road, just north of Hayward, WI. The proposed improvements for US 63 include a new pavement structure, culvert replacement and rehabilitation, and replacement of guard rail.
Monarch Paving Company is the prime contractor for the $4.5 Million project. This project is funded with 80% federal and 20% state transportation dollars.
Proposed traffic impacts
During construction, US 63 will be detoured. The car detour will utilize WIS 77 and County Highway OO. Trucks will be routed on WIS 77 and WIS 27. Access to all businesses and residences will remain open for the duration of the project.
Construction is currently scheduled for completion by July 12, 2019.
