Two-Vehicle Crash On HWY 35 In Polk County Results In Fatality

POLK COUNTY — On Monday, May 8, 2023, at 11:11a, The Polk County Sheriff’s Office emergency call center received a 911 call of a two-vehicle crash with injuries on Highway 35 and Clark Road in the Village of Dresser, Wisconsin.

Polk County Sheriff Brent Waak says that it was determined that a Pickup truck on Clark Road pulled into the path of a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 35.

Both vehicles were occupied by only the drivers.

The driver of the northbound vehicle on Highway 35 sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. The name of the deceased will be released at a later time.

The driver of the pickup truck was transported by ambulance with minor injuries.

This is the 3rd fatality in Polk County this year.

The Crash remains under investigation, according to Sheriff Waak.
