BURNETT COUNTY - A two-vehicle crash on Easter Sunday has resulted in the death of the driver of one of the vehicles, according to a press release from the Burnett County Sheriff's Office.

On Sunday, April 4th, 2021, at approximately 3:00pm Burnett County Dispatch received a call of a two car crash involving injuries located near 25940 STH 35 in Meenon Township.
Upon arriving on scene, Deputies found two vehicles with severe damage.
Further investigation revealed that Kenneth G. Hopkins of Siren was driving northbound on STH 35 and struck the rear end of a Toyota Tundra operated by Bernice K. Mixsooke. Mixsooke was legally stopped in traffic attempting to turn left as she was struck from behind.
Two helicopters were utilized to transport Kenneth and his passenger Linda J. Hopkins to local hospitals. Kenneth succumbed to his injuries and passed away on 4-5-21.
