Two Allegedly Conspire To Commit Sexual Assault Of Child

WASHBURN COUNTY -- Criminal charges have been filed in Washburn County Circuit Court against a man and woman who allegedly used social media to communicate and conspire to commit sexual assault of a child.

On May 25, 2020 the Rice Lake Police Department contacted the Spooner Police Department regarding an incident of attempted Child Enticement by a suspect living in the city of Spooner, WI.

The Rice Lake Police Department received information including screenshots of a conversation conducted via social media indicating that an adult female residing in Spooner, WI had asked a 13-year old juvenile if the juvenile and some of the juvenile’s friends would have sex with the adult female and her adult boyfriend.

A search warrant was obtained and information was received from FaceBook containing numerous conversations held between an adult male, identified as Aaron R. Miller, of Rice Lake, WI, and the adult female, identified as Amanda Nickels, of Spooner, WI.

The information obtained via the search warrant indicated that Miller and Nickels began communicating on FaceBook on May 3, 2020. A series of conversations ensued, during which Miller repeatedly asked Nickels to aid him in locating a juvenile female to have sex with.

The conversations began with Miller and Nickels getting to know each other, ultimately sharing photographs of each other. After Nickels sent Miller a photo of herself with a juvenile female, Miller then later asked Nickels about the juvenile. Subsequent conversations continued with Miller telling Nickels that he wants to have sex with a younger age female.

Miller went on to tell Nickels that he prefers girls around 6-7 years old whom have not gone through puberty and do not know what sex is, according to the criminal complaint filed against him in Washburn County Circuit Court. He went on to state that he wouldn’t mind if he got the juvenile female pregnant.

Nickels stated to Miller that although she wanted him for herself, she was willing to continue looking for “younger girls” if that is what he wanted.

The criminal complaint goes on to include some descriptions taken from the messaging conversations between Miller and Nickels and describing what Miller wanted to do to the juvenile female; these details are too graphic to include in this post.

Miller repeatedly questioned Nickels on the progress of the search for a juvenile female, stating that he would not come to visit her if she can’t get a juvenile female for the sexual encounter.

The conversations continued through the month of May, with Nickels suggesting females around the age of 13 for Miller. The information received via the search warrant confirmed that Nickels conducted searches on Facebook for a specific juvenile female whom Nickels would have known was age 13.

Nickels came to the Spooner Police Department on May 26, 2020 for an interview. During the interview, Officers learned that Nickels had met Miller online through a dating website called “Meet Me’. She went on to state that although she had asked Miller many times to come to Spooner and visit her, he told her that he would not visit her until she found a juvenile female for a sexual encounter.

During the interview Nickels also stated that Miller wanted to “have a family” with her and the “little girl”. Nickels also said that the age Miller preferred for a juvenile female, age 9 or 10, was pedophile age and that Miller would go to jail.

Nickels went on to say that Miller told her he had previously sexually assaulted juveniles as young as age 3 and had also gone to jail for a sexual offense.

On June 5, 2020, Miller was located by Spooner Police Officers after he had travelled from Hillsboro to Spooner, WI. He was taken into custody and interviewed. Details of his interview were not included in the criminal complaint filed against him.
