Tri-County High School Students Compete In 50th Annual Land Judging Competition

WASHBURN COUNTY, WI -- High school students traveled to Shell Lake for the 50th Annual Tri-County Land Judging Contest. This event, which rotates between Burnett, Polk, and Washburn Counties, brought together 45 talented students from six schools to demonstrate their prowess in soil and land evaluation. At various soil pit locations, participants meticulously examined the soil and its surrounding terrain, evaluating aspects such as texture, structure, drainage, production capabilities, and suitable land uses.
