POLK COUNTY -- On November 22, 2019, an Officer with the Milltown Police Department stopped a vehicle on Highway 35 after observing multiple traffic violations including weaving from center line to fog line.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Perry Hochstetler, of Centuria, WI. After noticing the odor of intoxicants, the Officer conducted field sobriety tests with Hochstetler; who was unable to successfully complete all of the tests, according to a Probable Cause report.
Hochstetler blew a .138 on a preliminary breath test after which he was taken into custody and transported to a medical center for a voluntary blood draw. The results of that blood draw are not known to DrydenWire.com at the time of this post.
Online circuit court records show that Hochstetler is charged with Class G Felony OWI 6th Offense. At a hearing on November 25, 2019, the Court placed Hochstetler on a $750 cash bail bond. Hochstetler is scheduled to appear again in December 2019.
Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
