Three-Time Convicted Sex Offender To Be Released In Washburn County

WASHBURN COUNTY - The Washburn County Sheriff’s Office is notifying the community of the following sex offender bulletin.

Notification

In accordance with WI State Statute 301.46(2m), it has been determined that the attached information on Clayton Phillips should be released to the community. On 09/24/22, Mr. Phillips will be moving to W5692 Dexter St., Trego, WI 54859 in Washburn County.

Sex Offenders have always lived in our communities, but it was not until the WI Sex Offender Registry and Community Notification Law was enacted that law enforcement was able to share this information with the community. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate, or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated.

    • Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st Degree
  3. 10/23/92 Stearns County MN Case K992001724
    • Criminal Sexual Conduct 2nd Degree

Mr. Phillips remains under the close supervision of local Probation Agents. Mr. Phillips is also required to follow specific and detailed rules prescribed by DOC including no unsupervised contact with minors, no contact with victims, cooperating with lifetime GPS monitoring, and lifetime registration with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registration Program.
