WASHBURN COUNTY -- The Court has sentenced Michael Balog for his involvement in removing birch from land belonging to Washburn County. Michael Balog, Andrew Mortensen, Steven Turner, and Bradley Kent were each charged with conspiracy to commit theft of and criminal damage of property belonging to the County of Washburn following law enforcement’s investigation.
Turner was sentenced for his criminal conviction in December 2022. Kent was sentenced for his criminal conviction in February 2023.
