The Show Must Go On! Lights, Camera, Skate: Take 2

BARRON COUNTY -- 35 figure skaters from area communities took to the ice last weekend to perform in the 31st annual Festival on Ice put on by the Northwoods Figure Skating Club at the Rice Lake Hockey Arena.

After the pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2020 show, the club chose to carry on with the movie theme from last year's production and titled the new show, “Lights, Camera, Skate: Take 2.”

Every year with the support of local business sponsorships and many club volunteers, young figure skaters ranging in ages Kindergarten through 12th grade put on high quality family friendly show that draws spectators from all of Northwestern Wisconsin.

The two-day event typically draws around 600 attendees, but due to Covid-19 capacity restrictions the show was closed to the general public, however live stream videos of the shows can still be viewed online on the Northwoods Figure Skating Club's YouTube channel.
