BURNETT COUNTY — A Burnett County Sheriff’s Deputy was bitten by a Grantsburg, WI man following a vehicle pursuit and arrest in Burnett County, according to a press release from the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office.

On December 6th, 2021 at approximately 9:10 am Burnett County Deputies noticed a vehicle being driven by Adam Wayne Bailey in the Township of Grantsburg.
Deputies were aware of an active extraditable probation warrant out of Minnesota for Bailey.
Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle and a short car chase proceeded. The chase ended in a driveway where Bailey did not obey the Deputies commands. A struggle then occurred resulting in the injury of one Burnett County Deputy who was bitten by Bailey.
Bailey was successfully taken into custody and is currently facing the following charges: Knowingly Flee and Officer, Resisting an Officer, and Battery to a Peace Officer.
