Press Release
Madison, WI – Senator Rob Stafsholt (R - New Richmond) issued the following statement after introducing legislation in reaction to recent reports about a possible federal mandate from the Biden-Harris Administration for a “vaccination passport”:
“My proposed legislation is not about whether people should get the vaccine. Vaccines are personal decisions that should be made in consultation with your doctor. This legislation is about preventing government overreach.”
The legislation would prohibit Governor Evers, the Department of Health Services, and local governments from implementing a “vaccination passport.” In addition, this legislation will not tell businesses what they can, or cannot require in their own establishments if there is a “vaccination passport” implemented by the federal government.
