Spooner Police Apprehend Suspect In Suspicious Vehicle Fire

SPOONER, WI -- Spooner Police, with assistance from the Washburn County Sheriff’s Office, investigated a suspicious vehicle fire on November 20th, 2024, leading to the arrest of Raven T. Trudell on November 26th, with no connection to other area arsons, according to a press release from the Spooner Police Department.

In the early morning hours of November 20, 2024, Spooner Police Department, along with Spooner Fire Department, responded to a vehicle on fire in a municipal lot on North Front St. This fire was suspicious in nature.

Due to officers patrolling the area, a suspicious person was seen walking in the area earlier. The City of Spooner Police Department, along with the assistance of the Washburn County Sheriff’s Office was able to collect footage from around the area.

On November 26, evidence was collected and processed to be sent to the WI Crime Lab. The suspect, later identified as Raven T. Trudell, was interviewed and taken into custody.

Raven is not related to any surrounding community arsons.
