Spooner Block Party Partnership Takes On ‘A Powerful, Patriotic Feel’

News Release

SPOONER, WI - The Spooner Block Party is honored to be supporting the Washburn County Veterans Service Office through proceeds from their event this year. They feel that the WCVSO is often overlooked, especially as a regional non-profit organization. WCVSO offers much needed education and health benefits, home buying & improvement aide, burial benefits, veteran’s commission, community outreach and more to local vets. The Block Party is making a point to support them and their cause in giving assistance to our county’s veterans who have so selflessly served. A County Veterans Service Officer, stated “We are humbled by the generosity of the Spooner Block Party, and their commitment to our Veterans. With the event happening over the 4th of July holiday, this year, the partnership takes on a powerful, patriotic feel as well!”

For more information on the Washburn County Veteran Service Office, follow them on facebook or visit their website.

The Spooner Block Party will be providing live musical entertainment on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th at their new Block Party Concert Venue at the Washburn County Fairgrounds. Nashville recording artists Hunter Phelps and headliner Sawyer Brown will take the stage on Friday night. Saturday will find regional performers Dawn Marie, and headliner, GB Leighton entertaining the crowds.
