Spooner Block Party Announces Postponement Of This Years Event

Press Release

SPOONER, WI -- In light of the continuing threat of COVID-19 virus and variants, it is with regret that the committee has postponed this year’s Spooner Block Party (scheduled for July 2-3, 2021) to July 1-2, 2022. The safety and well-being of volunteers and all who would attend are the highest priority. Even with the added vaccine, herd immunity is not expected before the end of summer or early fall and there remains substantial uncertainty that holding large scale events such as concerts, would be permitted or advisable by the Washburn County Department of Health.

The Spooner Block Party is a massive team effort of volunteers, sponsors and performing artists traveling great distances to come to Spooner. With so many layers of coordination required so far in advance of the actual event, there is just too much risk (health, financial, logistics) to proceed this year.

The committee has begun planning for July 1-2, 2022, already re-booking our headlining acts of Great White for Friday and Sawyer Brown for Saturday night!

All tickets purchased for 2020 or 2021 will automatically transfer over and be honored for 2022.
