SAYHA Hockey Moms - If you think their hands are full - you should see their hearts!

January 8th, 2021 is designated as National Hockey Mom Day. The day is right smack dab in the middle of hockey season and therefore a day that usually goes unnoticed. Unnoticed because in a normal year hockey moms are busy preparing and packing for an out of town tournament, or preparing the raffles for an in-town tournament or taking the skates to be sharpened today before the big games tomorrow, or planning the next fundraiser or washing the stink out of the hockey gear.

Since the pandemic has started hockey moms can be found crawling around in the back of the car to find the masks, helping their kids dress in full hockey gear outside due to locker rooms being closed, disinfecting their rink touch points and waiting in the car while their child plays because spectators are not allowed in some visiting rinks. If 2020 has proved anything, it is that SAYHA Hockey Moms do all of this for the kids. Their kids, team's kids, their communities kids.
