Single-Vehicle Crash in Price County Results in Death of Spooner Woman

PRICE COUNTY — A 46-year-old Spooner woman died following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Price County.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol (WSP), on November 20th at approximately 12:43p, Price County Sheriffs Department responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 70 east of Eagle View Lane. At approximately 1:39p, Price County requested the assistance of the Wisconsin State Patrol.



A Chrysler PT Cruiser had been traveling westbound on State Highway 70, negotiating a curve, when it lost control and drove off the roadway down into the ditch, causing the vehicle to roll over several times.

The driver, Travis Stout, 26, of Spooner, WI, and front seat passenger, Jason Kruger, 39, of Spooner, WI, were transported by ambulance to Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls with non-life threatening injuries, where they were treated and released. They were both wearing seatbelts.

The backseat passenger, identified as Amy Kruger, 46, of Spooner, WI, was also transported by ambulance to the hospital and was pronounced deceased on arrival. She was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the WSP.

Alcohol was not listed as a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
