Shooting Incident At Ras’ On Main In Hammond Wisconsin Leaves Patron Injured

HAMMOND, WI (DrydenWire) -- In the early hours of January 30, 2024, a disturbance at Ras’ on Main, located at 855 Davis St in the Village of Hammond, took a dangerous turn when an altercation inside the bar escalated into gunfire, leaving one patron injured.

According to the Hammond Police Department, the St. Croix County Emergency Communication Center received a call at approximately 12:51a., alerting authorities to the disturbance at Ras’ on Main. The caller reported that an altercation had unfolded within the establishment, resulting in the removal of one of the involved individuals.

As the ejected individual stood outside on the sidewalk, the situation escalated when several handgun rounds were fired through the front window. Tragically, one patron inside the bar was struck by the gunfire.

Emergency services were immediately dispatched, with officers from the Hammond Police Department, Baldwin Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, and the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office converging on the scene to secure the area.

The suspect, who discharged the weapon, managed to flee the scene before law enforcement arrived. The injured patron, fortunately, sustained only minor injuries and was treated on-site before being released.

Although initial investigations suggest that this incident may be isolated, the suspect remains at large, and the firearm used in the shooting has not yet been recovered. Law enforcement officials are actively pursuing leads and conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
