Sheriff Dryden posted what he says is likely his last Facebook post as Washburn County Sheriff to say thank you for the support from the community over the last 28 years.

This should be my last Face Book post on behalf of the Washburn County Sheriff’s Office, unless something drastic happens over the weekend.
On Monday the 7th of January Sheriff Elect Stuart will be sworn in and I am out of here. I will always stand ready to assist Dennis as he assumes the responsibility of Sheriff.
Many changes over the last 28 years, certainly I have changed in appearance. I have aged a bit and hopefully I am a little wiser and kinder. Your trust and faith you have placed in me to do the job is humbling and a simple “thanks” is not enough. I am not sure how to put into words my gratitude for your support over these many years, except to say thank you.
