WASHBURN COUNTY -- Shell Lake Arts Center’s Executive Director, Tara Burns, receives a check for $1500.00 from Shane Williams, President of the Shell Lake State Bank. This generous donation will help support general operations at the Arts Center.
“We rely on support from important community partners such as Shell Lake State Bank,” said Tara Burns. “With their help, we can continue our mission and prepare for our 52nd year with outstanding educational experiences and free concerts for our community throughout the summer.”
New this summer is Drumset Camp as well as expanded Music Production sessions now offering new and advanced workshops. Shell Lake Arts Center provides a positive, safe, and creative environment where students learn skills that relate to real-life. Burns continues, “Our students are successful in any area they choose to work in. Students will gain confidence, progress in artistic skill development, and have the experience of performing with peers who share their passion for the arts. By fostering their creativity, campers leave SLAC ready to lead their fellow students back home. We think beyond the hundreds of students we have at camp, but rather, the thousands of students who learn from the experience of the campers of the Arts Center.”
