SHELL LAKE, WI - The Car Show in Shell Lake held over Labor Day weekend raised over $2,500 for this years recipient - the Shell Lake Fire Department - according to a news release via Facebook by event coordinator Adam Lundberg.
(News Release) -- I would like to thank everyone for continuing to support the show whether it’s participating, donating, spectator, sponsor, volunteering, or anything in between!!
You all mean the world to me and there is just no way I could do it without you!!
This year was an odd one, with the crazy weather up to the start of the show, and it affected our numbers overall. This year we had 88 entries into the show, and approx 400/500 people wandering around it. There was no parades, or craft show to draw people from and we still did amazing!!!
It’s all because of you!! You came, you entered, you got in on the silent auctions, you participated!!
THANK YOU!!!
This year we also made the Best of Show Motorcycle trophy into a memorial trophy for an amazing friend of the show, Gary Lindeman. I was honored to do that for him, and I know he had something to do with the rain stopping and it becoming a beautiful day!!
This year the money raised is going to an amazing group of deserving people in a thankless job, the Shell Lake Fire Dept.
I met most of the crew for the first time this year, and what a great crew it is. Led by Keith Dahlstrom, I’m confident that they can handle any obstacle put in front of them!
I’m honored to announce that the amount we have raised this year for the Shell Lake Fire Dept is $2,574.05!!
Thanks again to everyone that made this possible!!
