UPDATE (11:27a) -- Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald announced that they will be holding a press conference at 4p today "with any updates," according to an email sent to media. The press conference will be held at the Barron County Sheriff's Department located at 1420 State Hwy 25 in Barron, Wisconsin.
BARRON COUNTY -- The search for 13-year-old Jayme Closs continues after authorities discovered her parents deceased and her missing Monday morning.
On Monday October 15, 2018, at 12:58a the Barron County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call from a subject asking for help at 1268 Hwy 8. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found two deceased adults. Authorities identified the two as James Closs, 56, and Denise Closs, 46. Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said they were husband and wife, and the mother and father of Jayme.
Autopsies are expected to be done today, October 17, 2018.
Fitzgerald stated in a news conference yesterday that they had received over "200 tips". Fitzgerald also said that they had "no credible information" regarding a possible sighting in Florida.
The FBI is also involved in the search, along with multiple law enforcement agencies nationwide.
Fitzgerald stated in a press release that Jayme Closs is believed to be in danger. Jayme is described as 5' tall, 100 pounds, green eyes and Blond or Strawberry Blond hair.
An Amber Alert has been issued and the Sheriff asks anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jayme to call the tip line at 1-855-744-3879.
