SAWYER COUNTY (DrydenWire) - A second criminal complaint has been filed in Sawyer County Circuit Court charging 53-year-old Peter LaRonge, of Chicago, IL (formerly of Hayward, WI), with additional counts of sexual assault of a child regarding a third victim.
DrydenWire previously reported in December 2023 that charges of child sexual assault were filed in Sawyer County Circuit Court against LaRonge along with a warrant for his arrest. LaRonge was alleged to have fled to Mexico.
Online court records show that on December 20, 2023, LaRonge appeared for a court hearing while in custody. The Hon. Judge John Yackel ordered a $100,000 cash bond, with conditions prohibiting LaRonge from having any contact with juveniles.
The new charges were filed against LaRonge in September 2024, and the criminal complaint alleges that LaRonge sexually assaulted the child victim multiple times over the course of 7 years.
