SAWYER COUNTY (DrydenWire) – A St. Croix Falls, WI man has been convicted by a jury in a second county of committing sexual crimes against children.

Eric Wirth, age 46, was criminally charged in circuit court in Sawyer County, Monroe County, and Polk County with committing sexual crimes against multiple victims.

In Monroe County Circuit Court, Wirth was convicted by a jury in September 2023 and later sentenced to serve 25 years of initial confinement followed by 15 years of extended supervision.

The criminal charges filed against Wirth in Polk County Circuit Court are still proceeding.

A jury trial began in Sawyer County Circuit Court on June 9, 2025, and ended on June 10, 2025, with the Jury convicting Wirth of multiple crimes, including repeated acts of Child Sexual Assault between 2012 and 2014.
