BARRON COUNTY (DrydenWire) - Anthony James Schaffner, age 34, of Sarona was arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Spooner Post for operating a motor vehicle intoxicated, 1st offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16 on Sunday, August 6, 2023, shortly before 4:00p, after the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Barron County Sheriffs Office responded to a three-vehicle crash on US Highway 8 at County M. Charges were later filed against Schaffner. He was sentenced during a recent court hearing on convictions from this case, and convictions from a second operating while intoxicated case filed against him in November 2023.
