Missing Person Update - Melissa R Davis
PRESS RELEASE
The Rice Lake Police Department has spent the last two weeks working with the Barron County Waste to Energy and Recycling Center, and the Republic Services Lake Area Landfill, in an attempt to recover the remains of Melissa Davis.
This search was conducted with assistance of detectives from the Barron County Sheriff's Office and cadaver dogs.
This search included ash remnants from the Barron County Waste to Energy and Recycling Center for the date that the human remains were observed on video inside the facility. No remains were recovered.
The search of the waste facilities will be discontinued at this time.
The Rice Lake Police Department will continue to investigate further leads and analyze video evidence as it becomes available.
