Rep. Green Calls On Sen. Baldwin To Vote On The 'Trust The Science Act'

Madison, WI – Representative Chanz Green (R-Grand View) is calling on Senator Tammy Baldwin to push for a vote on the Senate floor on H.R.764, or “Trust the Science Act,” after he and other legislators signed on to a letter that was sent to the Wisconsin Senator.

“First off, I want to thank Rep. Tom Tiffany for getting this bill through the U.S. House. This bill is long overdue and needs to cross the finish line,” said Rep. Green. “I am glad Senator Baldwin supports delisting the gray wolf from the endangered species list. With her supporting this effort, I am now calling on her to push for a vote on the Senate floor on this bipartisan bill.”

H.R.764 would delist the gray wolf from the endangered species list, ensure that the act of delisting is not subject to judicial review, and return management authority back to state lawmakers and state wildlife officials.

“People in Northern Wisconsin know the gray wolf is a recovered species. All you have to do is ask them. That is why I am calling on Senator Baldwin to push for a vote on this bill,” said Rep. Green. “I want to urge everyone to contact Senator Baldwin’s office and tell her to push for a vote. Because the question still remains: Will Senator Baldwin stand with the hunters and ranchers of Wisconsin, or will she stand with the D.C. elites?”
