MADISON, WI — Representative Chanz Green (R-Grand View) is happy to announce that Assembly Bill 67, Extension of the Wisconsin Merit Scholarship Program, was signed into law earlier today by Governor Evers.

"This bill being signed into law benefits the students here in Wisconsin and the UW-System as a whole," Green said. "Keeping the best and brightest students here in Wisconsin is the main priority of this bill, and I can confidently say the bill will do just that."

The bill was passed unanimously in the Assembly and the Senate.

Since the creation of the program, nearly 300 freshmen have benefitted from $1.5 million in scholarships.
