WASHBURN COUNTY (DrydenWire) - The Court has sentenced James Emerson, owner of ReNew Roofing, on a conviction of child enticement from charges that were filed against him in Washburn County Circuit Court in March 2024.
Emerson previously entered a plea of guilty to one count of child enticement at a court hearing in June 2024.
Emerson appeared for his sentencing hearing in Washburn County Circuit Court today, September 17, 2024, where the court ordered a 25 year sentence.
- Washburn County District Attorney Aaron Marcoux recommended a sentence of 15 years of initial incarceration followed by 10 years of extended supervision for Emerson.
- The defense counsel for Emerson recommended a sentence of 5 years of initial incarceration followed by 10 years of extended supervision for Emerson.
- The Hon. Angeline Winton ordered Emerson to serve the 15 years of initial incarceration in state prison, followed by 10 years of extended supervision.
