NORTHWEST WISCONSIN -- This morning marked the end of an era as the final episode of “Positive Tuesday w/ Ben & Fitzy” aired live on DrydenWire’s Facebook page. The popular weekly livestream, hosted by DrydenWire founder Ben Dryden and Barron County Sheriff Chris “Fitzy” Fitzgerald, wrapped up after an impressive 232-episode run.
The show, known for its blend of humor, heartfelt conversations, and candid commentary, first began nearly five years ago and quickly developed a loyal following. Over the years, Ben and Fitzy tackled everything from serious local issues to lighthearted stories, always aiming to bring positivity and connection to their viewers every Tuesday morning at 8:30a.
Today’s final show was especially emotional, as the duo reflected on their time together, shared favorite memories, and offered sincere thanks to their audience. Sheriff Fitzgerald, who recently announced his retirement from law enforcement effective June 1st, is stepping away from public service to take a new role in the private sector at Mosaic Technologies.
Ben Dryden also confirmed that the Tuesday slot will not be replaced. Instead, he plans to refocus his efforts on “DrydenWire Live” Thursday shows and devote more time to a new project he and two others are launching in the coming months.
Despite their decision to end the show, both hosts expressed deep gratitude for their loyal viewers, many of whom have been with them since the beginning. The duo noted that they will miss the weekly connection with their audience most of all.
“It’s been quite a ride,” said Dryden. “Thank you for watching all these years, for all of your comments, your support, and your kindness.”
