SPOONER, WI — The Board of Education approved the resignation of Director of Pupil Services Mr. Peter Hopke. He will finish out the 2022/23 school year in his current position before moving on to his new career as the Superintendent of the Solon Springs School District.
Mr. Hopke states “It was with mixed emotions that I made the decision to leave my position at the Spooner Area School District. I have enjoyed working in the Spooner Area School District over the past 5 years and will definitely miss the people with whom I have worked during this time. It is a bittersweet moment to leave the great people of SASD and the Spooner community to pursue this new opportunity.”
During his past five years of service to the District, Mr. Hopke has served as the Spooner Elementary School Principal and Director of Pupil Services.
Superintendent David Aslyn noted "We're thankful for Mr. Hopke's many contributions to the SASD over the past five years. He has served the District's students, their families, staff members and the community well. We wish him all the best as he takes the next step in his career as an educational leader.”
