POLK COUNTY (DrydenWire) - Authorities in Polk County have released the name of the deceased who died on Sunday, December 17, 2023, following a UTV crash in Polk County.

On Tuesday, Polk County Sheriff Brent Waak identified the operator of the UTV as Keith Millermon, 77, of rural Amery, Wisconsin.

(Monday, December 18, 2023) The Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to a missing person call on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 4:21p, in the rural Amery area. The call prompted deputies to initiate a search for an individual who had not returned home, and was last seen operating a UTV.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies conducted a thorough search of the private property. Tragically, they discovered the lifeless body of the missing individual, a male, who had apparently lost control of an Arctic Cat UTV and collided with trees.

The impact proved fatal, and the operator was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are withholding the identity of the deceased until Tuesday, according to Polk County Sheriff Brent Waak.

The circumstances surrounding the UTV accident are currently under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
