POLK COUNTY — A rural Polk County crash that left a driver injured and a toddler narrowly escaping harm has led to multiple felony charges against a Somerset, Wisconsin, man accused of operating under the influence.

Authorities say 27-year-old Abraham Neumann fled the scene on foot following the violent two-vehicle collision near Osceola, later making alarming statements about deliberately colliding with another vehicle to responding officers as he was detained.

A criminal complaint alleges Neumann admitted to smoking marijuana shortly before the crash and now faces several counts, including operating while intoxicated-causing injury, reckless endangerment, and felony hit-and-run.
