ASHLAND COUNTY — At 1:20p on Thursday September 8, 2022, a two-vehicle crash occurred on US 2 WB at US Hwy 2 near Mack Rd in Ashland County. The crash involved 3 injuries, according to a news release from the Wisconsin State Patrol.
According to the WSP, Wisconsin State Patrol Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries in Ashland County on US Highway 2 near Mack Road.
Preliminary evidence from the crash scene indicates that a Chevy Tahoe was westbound on US Hwy 2. The Tahoe traveled off the roadway into the west ditch. The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to reenter the roadway where it collided with an eastbound Hyundai. The driver of the Tahoe was taken to Memorial Medical Center in Ashland and later airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.
The driver and passenger of the Hyundai were transported to Memorial Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
