BURNETT COUNTY -- A 39-year-old man from Grantsburg, WI, was discovered deceased following a motorcycle crash in Burnett County on Sunday, September 19, 2021, according to a press release from the Burnett County Sheriff's Office.

On September 19, 2021, at 3:19 a.m., Burnett County Dispatch received a call of a motorcycle crash on County Road D, Village of Grantsburg, Burnett County.
Upon arrival, a Burnett County Deputy observed a deceased male, a motorcycle, and a deceased deer in the ditch.
Based on the scene, it was apparent that the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on County Road D and struck the deer causing the operator of the motorcycle to be ejected off the motorcycle.
The operator of the motorcycle has been identified as Scott Clifford, 39 years of age, of Grantsburg, WI.
The Burnett County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Grantsburg Police Department and the Burnett County Medical Examiner’s office for their assistance with this crash.
