The U.S. government is bracing for a potential surge in political violence once the Supreme Court hands down the ruling that's expected to overturn Roe v. Wade, according to a Department of Homeland Security memo obtained by Axios.

Law enforcement agencies are investigating social-media threats to burn down or storm the Supreme Court building and murder justices and their clerks, as well as attacks targeting places of worship and abortion clinics.

The University of Illinois Chicago’s school of public health defines weight stigma as "the discrimination or stereotyping based on a person’s weight," which it claims is "reported at rates comparable to racism and is one of the last types of discrimination still condoned and carried out by public health and medical experts."

Finland And Sweden Officially Apply To Join NATO Despite Russia's Warnings

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said Wednesday that Finland and Sweden have formally applied to join the world's biggest military alliance, a move driven by security concerns over Russia's war in Ukraine.

Assembly Speaker Robin Vos called the choice of UCLA Law School Dean Dr. Jennifer Mnookin as UW-Madison chancellor a “blatant partisan selection” and urged the Board of Regents to reconsider her appointment.

The UW System on Monday announced the Board of Regents had unanimously chosen Mnookin, who replaces Rebecca Blank as leader of the system’s flagship campus.

AG Kaul Announces Distribution Of 975,000 Child ID Kits Across Wisconsin

Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul today announced the distribution of 975,000 National Child ID kits across Wisconsin as part of a partnership with the Green Bay Packers, Alliant Energy, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the National Child ID Program. The kits are being distributed to all K-12 Wisconsin school children and are a new tool to help parents protect their children if something ever does happen.

Reps. Tiffany, Boebert Introduce The Trust The Science Act To Remove The Gray Wolf From The Endangered Species List

Reps. Tom Tiffany (WI-07) and Lauren Boebert (CO-03) led 21 Members of Congress in introducing the Trust the Science Act to permanently delist the gray wolf in the lower 48 and ensure that action is not subject to judicial review.

Congressman Tom Tiffany stated, “Despite the fact that the gray wolf has recovered well past its recovery goal post, radical environmentalists, with help from a California judge, have re-listed the gray wolf, posing an ongoing threat to livestock, farmers, and pet owners in Wisconsin. The Biden administration must follow the science, as they claim to do, by having Secretary Haaland remove ESA protections from species no longer warranting them.”

Oshkosh Sex Offender Arrested For Attempting To Meet A 13 Year-Old For Sexual Activity

Kevin J. Mueller (age: 60) of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, was charged via a criminal complaint following his May 16, 2022, arrest by local and federal authorities. Mueller was arrested pursuant to Operation Kick Boxer, a collaborative effort involving the Milwaukee Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, and the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office.

According to the complaint and supporting affidavit, Mueller began exchanging instant messages in early May with an individual whom he believed to be the parent of a 13-year-old girl living in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Mueller expressed repeated interest in engaging in sexual activity with the 13-year-old. Mueller also sent pornographic images of himself which he wanted to be shared with the child.
