In Colorado's 3rd House District, CBS News projected Rep. Lauren Boebert will win the Republican primary. Boebert, a controversial conservative freshman member of Congress, had former President Donald Trump's endorsement.
Trump loomed large over the race to be Colorado's top elections official. The current Secretary of State, Jena Griswold, a Democrat, is unopposed in her primary. CBS News projected Pam Anderson wins the Republican nomination for secretary of state in Colorado.

Ghislaine Maxwell has been sentenced to 20 years in a US prison for helping former financier Jeffrey Epstein abuse young girls.
Maxwell, 60, was convicted in December of recruiting and trafficking four teenage girls for sexual abuse by Epstein, her then boyfriend.
One of her accusers said outside the court in New York that she should stay in prison for the rest of her life.

Wisconsin's Democratic Attorney General Sues To Block State's Abortion Ban
Attorney General Josh Kaul filed a lawsuit in Dane County court arguing that a 1985 law that allows abortions up to the point of a fetus' viability supersedes an 1849 ban. He said that means abortions are still legal in Wisconsin before that point in a pregnancy.

Police say four people are dead and at least 50 others including Boy Scouts from Appleton, Wisconsin are recovering from injuries following a train derailment in Missouri on Monday.
The 16 kids and 8 adults from Appleton are all okay. A Boy Scouts representative tells WTMJ Radio the scouts helped injured passengers at the scene.

Some of Wisconsin's anti-abortion groups want to tighten the state's pre-Civil War ban on abortions by removing or rewording the exception that allows doctors to perform the procedure to save the life of the mother.
The push comes as opponents of the ban, led by Gov. Tony Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul, have filed a lawsuit seeking to block the law in its entirety, arguing it's out-of-date and unenforceable.
Both Pro-Life Wisconsin and Wisconsin Family Action are calling on lawmakers to pass a so-called personhood amendment to ban abortion in the state Constitution.

Three of the GOP candidates for guv vowed to remove any district attorneys who refuse to prosecute violations of Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion ban after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade.
They also focused their sharpest barbs on wealthy construction exec Tim Michels, who skipped Monday night’s forum in Green Bay.
In the wake of Friday’s Supreme Court ruling, Gov. Tony Evers has vowed to grant clemency to anyone who violates the ban. Meanwhile, Dem AG Josh Kaul said he wouldn’t use Department of Justice resources to prosecute crimes related to the ban. And the DAs in Dane and Milwaukee counties have said they won’t enforce it.
