Elon Musk's $1 Million Voter Sweepstakes May Continue

A judge in Pennsylvania ruled Monday that Elon Musk's political action committee's $1 million a day voter sweepstakes can continue through Tuesday's presidential election.

Common Pleas Court Judge Angelo Foglietta did not immediately offer a reason for the ruling.

In court Monday, Musk's lawyers said the recipients of his giveaway are not chosen by chance but to serve as spokespeople for the super PAC, America PAC.

Oil Giant Aramco Posts Third-Quarter Profits Of $27.5B, Down 15% From A Year Earlier

Saudi Arabian oil giant Aramco reported third-quarter profits of $27.5 billion on Tuesday, down about 15% from last year as low oil prices ate into its revenues.

Aramco, formally known as the Saudi Arabian Oil Co., had revenues of $111.1 billion over the quarter, the company said in a filing on Riyadh's Tadawul stock exchange. It had $113 billion in revenues the same quarter last year.

Profits for the third quarter last year were $32.5 billion.

Boeing Employees Vote To End Strike

Boeing machinists have ended their weeks-long strike, amid signs that the work stoppage had begun denting U.S. jobs numbers — and just a day before the country votes for its next president.

After rejecting a previous contract offer, on Monday just before midnight Eastern time the union reported that 59 percent voted in favor of a fresh deal that boosts employees’ wages and conveys other benefits, with the expectation workers will head back to production lines as soon as this week.

More Than 1.5M Wisconsin Absentee Ballots Cast In Presidential Election

More than 1.5 million Wisconsinites have already cast their ballots ahead of Tuesday’s presidential election. Wisconsin’s top elections official says the state is poised to set a new record for early in-person absentee voting.

All told, more than 41 percent of all active, registered voters in Wisconsin have already cast absentee ballots, according to the Wisconsin Elections Commission. Of those, nearly 950,000 were in-person absentee ballots, which were cast in clerks offices or early voting sites.

Wisconsin’s hotly contested U.S. Senate race pits two-term Democratic incumbent Tammy Baldwin against Republican Eric Hovde, a millionaire businessman backed by former President Donald Trump who poured millions of his own money into the contest.
