Trump Floats Income Tax Cut To Ease Tariff Impact
President Trump floated a new income tax cut on Sunday as a way to mitigate the impact of his sweeping tariffs, which polls show Americans increasingly believe will lead to higher prices.
“When Tariffs cut in, many people’s Income Taxes will be substantially reduced, maybe even completely eliminated,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform on Sunday.
“Focus will be on people making less than $200,000 a year,” he continued.

Officials said among those that were detained were active-duty military members. DEA Special Agent in Charge Jonathan Pullen said that alleged members of gangs, including Tren de Aragua and MS-13, were present at the venue.

Tribes Can Access $2.2m To Help House Tribal Veterans, Including The Oneida Nation
More than $2 million in federal funding will go to expand rental assistance for Native American veterans who are unhoused or at risk of becoming homeless as the nation’s federal housing agency faces cuts to grants and staff.
U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott Turner announced $2.2 million in new funding Thursday on the Oneida Nation’s reservation, which spans roughly 65,000 acres in Brown and Outagamie counties. The money is part of leftover funds from previous fiscal years that will be made available through HUD’s Tribal Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing, or the VASH program.

The poll found that 47% of voters in battleground Wisconsin were "very confident" that votes were accurately cast and counted in the 2024 election. When including voters who were "somewhat confident," that figure jumps to 78%.

A reserve judge will be appointed to take over the cases of Judge Hannah Dugan, who was arrested by the FBI over allegedly helping an undocumented immigrant, according to a Milwaukee County official.
The county's chief judge, Carl Ashley, said late Sunday that a reserve judge would take over Dugan's calendar on Monday morning. The reserve judge was not named in the statement released to media.
Dugan, a judge on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court, was arrested on Friday over allegedly helping an undocumented immigrant "evade arrest" the week prior, FBI Director Kash Patel said.

Timothy M. O’Shea, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Dustin P. Brunker, 37, Weston, Wisconsin, was sentenced yesterday by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley to 7 years in federal prison for conspiring to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. The prison term will be followed by 5 years of supervised release. Brunker pleaded guilty to this charge on January 28, 2025.
In early 2024, investigators with the Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force began investigating a group of individuals who were distributing large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine in the Marathon County area. Brunker was identified as a distributor for the group.
