Pro-Palestinian Protesters Disrupt Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was temporarily halted when a group of about 30 pro-Palestinian protesters ran into the street and apparently glued themselves to the pavement of the parade route in New York City.

The protesters were demonstrating along Sixth Avenue when a handful of them jumped the barricades and ran into the street along 49th Street.

In videos posted online, protesters can be seen demonstrating on Sixth Avenue near 34th Street.

They chanted "no more nickels, not another dime, no more money for Israel's crimes" and "Free free Palestine." They were also holding up Palestinian flags and papers that said "genocide then, genocide now."

Former President Trump is facing 91 felony counts in four criminal cases. He was impeached twice and left office under ignominious circumstances after his supporters violently stormed the Capitol, egged on by his claims of a stolen election. Many of his former top advisers have turned into ardent critics.

And yet, several polls released in the past few weeks, including one on Sunday by NBC News, show him leading President Biden in battleground states and nationally in a hypothetical rematch in 2024.

Experts and strategists point to several reasons polling indicates many Americans appear willing to give Trump another chance at the White House despite all his baggage, including voter discontent with Biden, while acknowledging plenty can change a year out from Election Day.

Space scientists seeking to understand the enigmatic origins of powerful cosmic rays have detected an extremely rare, ultra-high-energy particle that they believe traveled to Earth from beyond the Milky Way galaxy.

The energy of this subatomic particle, invisible to the naked eye, is equivalent to dropping a brick on your toe from waist height, according to the authors of new research published Thursday in the journal Science. It rivals the single most energetic cosmic ray ever observed, the “Oh-My-God” particle that was detected in 1991, the study found.

Amazon is flexing its muscles against its big-box store competition with the first-ever Black Friday NFL game.

There's an epic battle to control consumers' wallets during the super-lucrative end-of-year holidays and the new game is expected to drive football fans to cut in-store shopping short.

The Black Friday game starts at 3pm ET between the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins.

Amazon is betting on consumers shopping while watching the game, including its existing base of sports fans.

Dolly Parton Wears Cowboys Cheerleading Outfit To Perform Nfl Thanksgiving Halftime Show

Belying her age with a daring cheerleading outfit, country icon Dolly Parton sent the crowd wild at the halftime show of the Commanders-Cowboys game in Dallas on Thanksgiving.

The 77-year-old took center stage in a small blue and white top, and mini shorts, at AT&T Stadium with the Cowboys leading 20-10 against Washington on Thursday.

Fans were blown away by her short live performance, with Undisputed's Skip Bayless among the first on X to praise Parton.

'How 'bout that Dolly Parton,' the sports analyst posted. 'Talk about dressing for the occasion. Now that is is impressive.'

Bradley Says Court’s Legitimacy At Stake As Court Takes Up Redistricting Case

Conservative Justice Rebecca Bradley asked a series of pointed questions during sometimes-tense oral arguments Tuesday suggesting she believes the redistricting lawsuit now before the court threatens its integrity and legitimacy and that her liberal colleagues have already predetermined the outcome.

Mark Gaber, an attorney for the Dem plaintiffs, only got out a few words before Bradley opened her line of questioning. Asking why his clients hadn’t raised a similar line of arguments when the court took up redistricting two years ago, she charged the only reason they were now before the justices was the change in the makeup of the court, inspired by new liberal Justice Janet Protasiewicz’s comments during this spring’s election that the currents maps are “rigged.”

Gaber rejected Bradley’s assertion. He said GOP lawmakers hadn’t yet proposed maps that featured noncontiguous territory until after the court had set a deadline to intervene in the prior redistricting suit that was before the justices two years ago. That means the plaintiffs didn’t know it would be an issue with the map the court eventually put in place and only now have the opportunity to challenge districts that have municipal islands.

Wisconsin Hunters Killed 16 Percent Fewer Deer During Opening Weekend Of Gun Deer Season

Wisconsin hunters killed fewer deer during the opening weekend of gun deer season than in previous years.

Hunters bagged 92,050 deer statewide, a 16 percent decrease compared to the same point in the 2022 season and 10 percent lower than the five-year average.

The DNR said a majority of the decline was in the antlerless deer harvest, which usually picks up later in the season.

The number of bucks killed so far is down 13 percent compared to last year, with a total of 51,870 registered on opening weekend.

The number of deer hunters also decreased slightly. Hunters bought a total of 774,369 licenses as of midnight Nov. 19, down 0.6 percent from the same time last season.

Decked out in their absolute best, the Greendale High School Band definitely made quite the impression on the national stage, when they strutted their stuff during this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

“It is their moment. Get ready to see why the Greendale High School Marching Band, led by Tom Reifenberg and Liz Parsons, is a 19-time Wisconsin state champion!” said Hoda Kotb.

Performing their rendition of “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” from Disney’s The Lion King, the Band and Poms Squad dazzled the crowd with their synchronized moves and wonderful music.

Former Pimp Claims To Be Serial Killer, Telling Investigators He Committed Crimes In Wisconsin

The notorious prostitution strips along National and Greenfield avenues in Milwaukee are the backdrop of a troubling confession.

Lawrence McFarland, 40, of Milwaukee, telling investigators last month he "frequently hears voices that tell him to either kill himself or kill others."

The statements are contained in a criminal complaint filed this week charging him with sexual assault, false imprisonment and strangulation. But, if he's to be believed, that's the tip of the iceberg, WISN reports.

Love Ties Career High With 3 TD Passes, Leads Packers To 29-22 Win Over NFC North-Leading Lions

Jordan Love dropped back and threw deep on his first snap, taking advantage of what the Green Bay Packers thought the Detroit Lions defense would give them.

They were right.

Love set the tone with a 53-yard pass to Christian Watson on the game's first play and finished with a career-high-tying three touchdowns, leading Green Bay to a 29-22 win over the NFC North-leading Lions on Thursday.

“It was something we put in this week that we thought was going to work,” said Love, who had to reassure coach Matt LaFleur to stick with the first call when he had second thoughts about it on the morning of the game. “We were confident in it.”
