BARRON COUNTY — Joshua Sergent, 40, was arrested by Barron County Sheriff’s Department Detectives on June 20, 2024, following a months-long investigation into child pornography., according to a press release from the Barron County Sheriff’s Office.

On Thursday, June 20, 2024, the Barron County Sheriff’s Department Detectives arrested Joshua Sergent after a several month investigation into child pornography. In May 2024, a search warrant was served on his residence on S Mill Street in the in the City of Barron. At that time electronics were seized. These electronics were analyzed by DCI and contained child pornography.
Evidence seized indicates that Sergent was producing child pornography.
Joshua Sergent, 40, of Barron is being held in the Barron County Jail on Charges of Possession of Child Pornography and Sexual Exploitation of a child and is awaiting formal charges by the Barron County District Attorney Office.
