Late-Night Pursuit Ends With Taser Deployment, Arrest

RUSK COUNTY — A late-night motorcycle pursuit through Rusk and Chippewa counties on Sunday ended with the arrest of a Holcombe man facing over a dozen serious charges, including drug trafficking and firearm possession, according to a press release from the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sunday, June 15th at around 10:30PM Rusk County Sheriff Deputies attempted to stop a black motorcycle northbound on Hwy 27 near the Rusk/Chippewa line.

The motorcycle refused to stop forcing deputies to engage in a vehicle pursuit that lasted about 25 miles and went in and out of Rusk and Chippewa counties.

After the vehicle pursuit ended, the driver of the motorcycle attempted to flee on foot. After a short foot pursuit, deputies were able to deploy a taser and take the suspect into custody.

Patrick Buswell, 50 years old from Holcombe, WI was arrested on the following charges:

  • Felony Bail Jumping - Multiple
  • Poss w/Intent Cocaine (>-5G)
  • Poss w/Intent Meth (>50G)
  • Poss w/Intent THC (>200-1000G)
  • Poss Illegally Obtained Prescription

  • Poss Firearm-Convicted Felon
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Operating After Revocation
  • Poss of Narcotics
  • 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety
