Judge Gill Wins Seat On 3rd District Court Of Appeals

Outagamie County Circuit Court Judge, Greg Gill, has defeated Wausau attorney Rick Cveykus in the race for a seat on the 3rd District Court of Appeals, according to The Associated Press. Gill garnered 55% of the total votes.

Judge Gill posted the following statement on his Facebook page late Tuesday night.

"I can’t begin to express my appreciation to all of those that have helped me on this journey. Of course, first and foremost, I am thankful to God for providing me guidance and confidence through this endeavor. My family, Jill, Maddie, Peyton and Emma for providing support and understanding. My parents, brothers and friends who helped with everything from signatures to financial support. My campaign team, for keeping me on track and providing insight. Of course, to all those throughout the district and state for not only getting me out of the starting gate but taking me to the finish.

"It is so humbling to be able to represent the citizens of this state. While I did not get 100% of the vote, from here forward, I will represent 100% of the citizens. I will do so in manner which demonstrates kindness, compassion, and fairness for all. It is an honor to be in this position and again, thank you from the bottom of my heart."

The 3rd District covers 35 counties in Northern Wisconsin.
