SPOONER, Wis. -- The Intermezzo Music Club will present its annual Advent Concert on Sunday, December 4, 5:00 p.m. at the Spooner Wesleyan Church. The concert will feature Spooner and Shell Lake School audition award winners and performances by Heather Fleishauer, Pat Barnett, Lisa Kiener-Barnett and the acappella group, Ave Generosa, under the direction of Holly Bacha.
The Club will also present this year’s Outstanding Musical Contribution Award.
The Intermezzo Music Club promotes music appreciation and education in the Spooner and Shell Lake communities. Working with local music educators, students are encouraged to participate in the April auditions where winners receive cash awards and Shell Lake Arts Center music camps scholarships. Donations from local businesses, individuals, and the Advent Concert free-will offering are the main sources of fund-raising for student audition awards and scholarships.
The public is cordially invited to attend this concert featuring the music of the upcoming holiday season. All are welcome to attend the reception following the concert.
The Spooner Wesleyan church is located just west of Spooner on Highway 70.
